The three couples sat in the back of Nara house, watching their children play on the grass, just outside the trees that lead into the famous forest. The couples were: Shikamaru and Temari, Ino and Choji, and Gaara and Matsuri and they were laughing and chatting quietly.

On one part of the grass, you could see Hatsune with her two gal pals, not too much older than her, playing Barbie dolls. Her friend on the left of her, her name was Hanako. She looked like her mother; Ino she had her dazzling blue eyes and dirty blond hair which was pulled up into pig-tails on both sides of her head. Her sister, Rei looked more like her father; Choji, she had his black eyes but her bright blond hair she got from her mom, which she keeps in a ponytail.

Rei was disappointed to say the least, she had to be the ‘ken’ when the played Barbie. “Why do I always have to play ken, why can’t I be a Barbie for once?” Rei complained. “Rei, it’s because you’re never quick enough to beat me, so that’s why you’re always the Ken” Hanako explained.

Hatsune laughed at the sister’s argument. She tried to help them out, so she said what she felt was right.

“Ken’s are just weaker than Barbies anyway, so we need a reliable woman to have so they can play as a weaker gender” Hatsune said quickly hoping to stop the argument.

Rei looked like she was thinking this over and nodded slowly began to grab the Ken figure and started to join in the game.

The girls heard a “troublesome” being muttered from across the grass.

Baby Asuma and his friend, Sho looked like he was trying not to laugh at Asuma’s comment. His father was the Kazekage; Gaara and his mother Matsuri. Sho has his mother’s hair but has his father’s soothing sea foam eyes. Hatsune looked over and gave her brother a glare but turned back towards her friends before they noticed she wasn’t paying attention to their game.

Baby Asuma was flinging a toy kunai at Sho, who avoided it easily and threw a few shuriken at Asuma, who rolled in the bushes and stayed there Sho went over cautiously and before he knew it, he was on the ground with Asuma on top of him, pinning him down. “Dang, I thought I had you” Sho said under his breath. Asuma looked pleased so he got off of him, and offered a hand to Sho, who took it.

They both sat under the trees so they could catch their breath. They sat in silence until Asuma, started a conversation “Sho, you don’t think that men are weaker than girls, do you?” he asked. Sho shuck his head “no, men are way stronger than girls” he told Asuma. Asuma nodded at this and smiled a very small smile for his friend as they talked about being the best shinobi out there.

They were again practicing with their toy kunai and shuriken but Sho accidently threw the kunai at the girl’s direction. Hanako threw her arm up in the air and caught the kunai before it hit Hatsune or Rei. “Just what do you think your doing?” she half asked/yelled at Sho. “She has her mothers temper” Asuma mumbled and Rei put an arm on her sister, “just calm down I’m sure it was an accident right boys?” Rei asked. “At least one of them got their father’s patience” Sho mumbled.

Asuma and Sho ran up to Rei and thanked her, and Sho apologized before Hanako could seriously hurt them or worse, dress up.

Asuma started to walk away, but Sho asked the worst question at the most inopportune time “Men are better than woman?” usually having Gaara’s tendencies to stay quiet, he had to chose now to become vocal.

Everyone’s head snapped up from their doll game and had a disbelieving look. “Who told you that? Of course woman are much better, stronger than men” said Hanako. Rei agreed with her sister, which was very rare for the two. “Trust us, women are just better than man” Hatsune said.

Sho and Asuma both stood there shocked. They needed a really good comeback “not uh!” Sho shouted. ‘Great’ Asuma thought. Sho and Asuma backed up as the girls grabbed their real kunai and Asuma grabbed Sho and they ran.

The girls started to laugh “you should have seen their faces!” Hanako said. Rei was laughing and Hatsune just sat there and picked up the Barbies again, and continued their play.

Sho and Asuma stayed back to where they were before they got into the fight between the girls and Sho asked “why didn’t we go back there and tell them that they’re wrong?” Asuma looked up at the sky and saw a bird fly by, “because if we let them think what they want, they’re happy and we stay safe” he said. Sho looked at him for the longest time.

“You know, you hang out with your father way to much” Sho said. Asuma smirked and merely watched as the clouds pass by overhead.
